Where the scholarship comes from.
The School Success Scholarship exists because of a private donor who, in searching for an educational model with a genuine track record of changing outcomes for children, found Success for All. Through their generosity, we're able to offer up to $100,000 to Title I-eligible schools to remove the financial barrier that keeps high-need schools from accessing proven, comprehensive literacy instruction.
In 2025-2026, 50 new schools began implementation through this scholarship. We’re currently recruiting our next cohort of schools for 2026-2027.

Who qualifies
Title I-eligible schools serving students in grade K-5 — public, charter, and private. Each school qualifies individually. This is a per-school award, not a district or network cap.

There is no separate application. Scholarship eligibility is part of the standard conversation about fit and readiness. If your school qualifies, we'll tell you.
Why year one is the right moment for support.
For most schools, SFA replaces the fragmented combination of programs, materials, and professional development that aren't achieving the expected results.
The first year is still the most significant investment — it includes curriculum materials, initial teacher and leadership training, and intensive first-year implementation support from your dedicated SFA Coach. By year two, your school has its materials. Coaching and implementation support continue, but the cost declines meaningfully. By year three, it declines significantly — making SFA less expensive as results grow stronger.
That's the arc the scholarship is designed to support: get schools through the highest-cost year so the system can take root and sustain itself.
The return on your investment.
SFA holds ESSA Tier 1 Strong Evidence — the highest federal designation available — which means it qualifies for Title I, Title II, and other federal funding streams that require strong evidence of effectiveness. Many schools sustain SFA long-term through those same funding sources.
The long-term data also shows that SFA schools spend significantly less on grade retention and special education placements than comparable schools — reductions that research has shown fully offset implementation costs over time. For districts grappling with rising special education costs or state retention mandates, that's not just a long-term finding. It has immediate budget implications. (Borman & Hewes, 2002)
